HIKE AND BIKE – KÅLLANDSÖ

The day starts at Läckö Castle with a tour of the castle, where you also will get the chance to take a stroll in the castle gardens. After that you will pick up your rental bikes at the camping reception and bike 2 km to Spiken fishing village. On the way you will pass picturesque typically red Swedish houses and get a true feeling of the Swedish life on the countryside while biking on gravel roads.

In Spiken you will enjoy a lunch buffet at restaurant Sjöboden, they are well known for their amazing fish dishes and have won many awards. After lunch you have time to stroll the harbor and the fishing-huts, where you find fishermen and small unique craft shops all mixed together.

After that it’s time to hop on the bikes again and ride 6 km to Otterstad church. There, our experienced guide will greet you and guide you on a hike around Fröfjorden. On this hike you will get to know the Swedish way to enjoy nature. The hike is full of history and you will not be able to miss the giant oak trees dotted all along the path. Our guide will arrange a traditional Swedish fika, coffee and something to eat, so you don’t have to worry about that.

Once you are back at the church it’s time to ride your bikes back to Läckö Castle and finish up the day. This trip you carry out on your own, but it’s important that you are at the church 13.30 for the guided hike.

Dress: Regular shoes type tennis shoes, a sweater or a jacket if it gets cold during the afternoon.
